Photo Days - Detailed Information 

We are excited to announce that there will be professional photos available for purchase for the Ice Show! Photography by Matea will be taking group photos and individual photos following Ice Show practices Sunday March 24^th and Wednesday March 27^th.  Advance Photo Day purchases will be open online from 3pm March 17th until midnight Friday March 22^nd.

 

Here’s what you need to know:

§  In advance of Photography Dates – Ordering:

·        Please review the below information around pricing and photo options. If you have any questions, please email the club: st.thomasskatingclub@gmail.com

·        You are under no obligation but if you would like to purchase either of the options below, you must do so through your Uplifter account before midnight Friday March 22^nd. We regret that we cannot accept late orders after this cutoff, nor can we accept orders on site on the photography dates. Please keep in mind that there is a large volume of skaters that need to be photographed and there is simply too much happening to manage manual orders on site.

·        There are no make up dates unfortunately. We only have the photographer, volunteers available, and space booked for these two dates.

·        To purchase photos:

o   Log in to your STSC Uplifter account

o   Click on the REGISTRATION page. Scroll down to find your child’s group options. Select and add to cart.

o   If your child is in more than one number and you wish for photos for all numbers, go back and add more items to cart.

o   Check out with credit card payment as usual.

·        Note: If you are ordering photos classified as ‘other’ below, please note instructions in Uplifter – send an email to the club email account to advise that you have ordered these packages and for which number (i.e. Soloist – [insert child’s name])

 

§  On Photo Days:

·        Following your child’s usual practice time on either of the photo dates, your child’s costume should be in an assigned dressing room (please check front table when you arrive to know what dressing room to use). A club volunteer will be present in each dressing room to ensure that costuming goes smoothly. Please remember to bring your child’s base costume layer as indicated in the previous email sent out about costumes.

·        We ask that you please get your child off the ice and dressed in their costume promptly following their practice.

·        The photographer will be set up in the auditorium. Please go to the auditorium soon as you can and await the rest of your child’s group on the chairs set up adjacent to the photography area.

·        Your child and their group will be called up soon as the photographer is ready for them.

·        PLEASE BE PATIENT during this process. In years past, we know that this can be a frustrating experience with all the waiting involved. There are many, many children that need to have photographs done. We can only move through the process as fast as we can. This is determined by how organized each group is and how quickly they all arrive in the auditorium together.

·        If you have purchased an individual pose package, your child will remain with the photographer following the group photo. If you are not purchasing individual poses, you are free to go thereafter.

·        After the photos are taken, please return to the assigned dressing room, carefully remove the costume, and give to the volunteer who will keep everything organized for the dress rehearsal.

·        Note: Please do not direct your child during the individual pose session. We have trained volunteers helping the photographer with posing and it can be very distracting for your child to receive instruction from multiple people. This is an example of how the process can slow down and the wait far longer than anyone would want. 

·        Note: Photographer will edit and choose the best individual pose image to provide you as final product.  

 

§  Photography Prices and Packages:

·        Groups (Parent-Child/PreCanSkate/CanSkate/StarSkate/Development Team, etc.):

o   Group photo only $10

o   Package: Group photo ($10) and 1 individual pose ($25) = $35

·        Other:

o   Soloist or Pair or Feature Skater:

§  1 Individual pose $25

§  2 Individual poses $45 (save $5)

o   Miscellaneous (i.e. siblings photographed together, etc.)

§  1 Individual pose $25

§  2 Individual poses $45 (save $5)

·        Prices include digital image only. No printed pictures/package will be provided.

§  Post Photo Days:

·        Photographs purchased will be emailed to the individual who purchased by: Friday April 5th. Please check your junk folder if you did not receive an email. If you still have not received your child’s photos, please email the club at the address above and we will contact the photographer.
